Who is there

    Why it matters

Simplified educational map of where AI activity and strategic resources are concentrated, as of November 2026. Reserve and production figures are as of the latest USGS, Energy Institute, IEA and World Nuclear Association counts available in November 2026. Not investment advice.

    How to read this map

The base map is about making: who designs, who fabricates, who assembles, who hosts. The overlays add the pressures around it. Machines flow from the Netherlands, Japan and California to the fabs. Chips and memory flow from Taiwan and Korea to the clouds. The amber dashed lines are not flows at all: they are export controls, pressure applied to the greyed node in China.

Reserves and trade routes widen the lens. The resources the wider economy runs on sit in a short list of places, and nearly everything physical moves on a handful of sea lanes. Both overlays are off by default so the making map stays readable.
